The challenge

With Økonomiaftalen ’19, the Danish municipalities commited themselves to monitor and examine citizens’ use of the common municipal self-service solutions, including Sygedagpenge, Byg og Miljø, Digitalæ Flytning, Skoleopskrivning and others. More specifically, it was about being able to collect data on application and satisfaction measurements on end users with the purpose of strengthening user-friendliness in the solutions.

KOMBIT not only took care of the initial requirements specification and overall project management, but also the tender round, which several companies of various sizes participated in. We won the tender concerning completion of the requirements specification and final adjustment based on a very tight 2-months time schedule. We delivered on time and thereby also proved our strong competitiveness within software development for the public sector in Denmark.

The Solution

With the new software solution Selvbetjeningscheck, KOMBIT and the Danish municipalities can now easily measure citizens’ opinion about and satisfaction with its user-friendliness. This provides new insights into what works and what needs to be adjusted in terms of delivering a better digital experience for the end user. Moreover, the individual municipality can not only freely benchmark itself against other municipalities throughout the country, but also export comprehensive Excel reports and utilize a handy KPI dashboard for a better overview.

Besides this software solution and in connection with the cooperation, we have also delivered a control- and KPI tool to IT suppliers of common municipal self-service solutions in the other municipalities, including EG, KMD and others.
